Regardless of position, we're always looking for new members.
We strongly suggest you visit us during one of our Monday night meetings! Stop by the firehouse any Monday night between 7pm & 9pm. Members will show you around, answer questions, and help you start the application process.
Firefighters are the members who respond to emergency calls within the borough. Firefighter training is provided at no cost, is easy to incorporate into even a busy schedule, and takes approximately five months at the Middletown Fire Academy, or the Monmouth County Fire Academy. Graduating members are NJ State certified firefighters, as well as First Responders.
Social members enjoy all the benefits of active membership, without firefighter responsibilities. Social members help run the business side of our organization, including fundraising and annual events such as the Halloween parade & the awards banquet. Social members can hold any position within the company except those pertaining to firefighting.
Cadets, ages 14-18, participate in special training, drills, and exercises in order to learn firsthand what it takes to be a firefighter. On an emergency scene, cadets are closely supervised and perform tasks such as retreiving tools and changing air cylinders away from hazardous environments. Many of our cadets have moved on to become firefighters.
